Now in its own thread!
Pick the dates and times you could do, then be more specific about exact times here in the thread (e.g. if you can do Sunday nights starting at 9 PM EST, select "Sunday between 6 PM - 1 AM" and note in the thread that you would be available after 9 but not before).

I'm free Thursday, Wednesday, Sunday afternoon, and Monday night. I do have a class from 6-8 wednesday but I can play through it no question.

I can do Wednesday night if it is later than ~10:30PM EST (in shop for scholarship until then). I marked down Sunday 12-6 as that works better overall.

We have 5 people for Wednesday evening, including myself. If we can get one more, I'll put something together.

Sunday afternoon also seems to be doing well - is there a reason you couldn't do that as well, hon? ETA: Not that you have to do any particular time; I just was thinking you might not want to schedule our game on top of the board-gaming night at that place.

I can do Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday "afternoons", Saturday "mornings" and Sunday "mornings" or "afternoons". All of those I put in quotes since what is afternoon for you, is evening for me

ETA: Not that you have to do any particular time; I just was thinking you might not want to schedule our game on top of the board-gaming night at that place. The problem with Sunday afternoon, as amply demonstrated by today, is that it tends to be my "get shit done" time, since I'm working 6 days a week.

which is to say while I'm happy to play sunday, I don't want to commit to DMing it if it happens that day, since I can't promise 100%

Shit! My nights are EST mornings. ....no. Then that page where I saw it was wrong. As of this post, in my timezone it's 8:18 AM. In this page, inputting 8:30 AM in Argentina yields 6:30 AM EST. I would then be available Fridays after 7:00 PM EST (which according to that site would be 9:00 PM for me), and Saturdays after 8:00 PM EST (that would be 10:00 PM for me). Sundays I'm available after 12:00 AM EST (that would be 2 PM for me), all day.

I don't know if this is kosher or not, but if we're lacking people, I could probably drag my girlfriend along; she'd be interested, and free at relatively same-y times as me.

Do we have any ideas for scenario or setting?

Also, my Wed night class ends at 5, not 9 like I originally thought.
Frees me up quite a bit on Wed.

Do we have any ideas for scenario or setting? I vote something fantasy-ish over something sci-fi-ish, but beyond that I have no significant preference.

Do we have any ideas for scenario or setting? I mean, frankly I'd be happy with a bog-standard DnD campaign. There's tons of sourcebooks available online too, and I think I still have around 20 or so 3.5E sourcebooks lying around. I've heard great things about Pathfinder though.

I'm okay with either the old ages, or the far future. {Spoiler} (That's how Lexicanum divides the Warhammer Fantasy and 40,000 lore).

Pathfinder is much better than 3.5 IMO.

Y'know, I had an idea brewing for "later" if RPing was going to be a thing, but since I detect a sci fi vs fantasy RPG I'd be perfectly willing to put myself out there and start up a Battletech RPG. I have a good starter and general plot, just need to get base permission from the original author and put my own twists on it...
The question is does anybody else like giant robotic tanks stomping around barely survivable worlds blowing things up with lasers and missiles and lightning guns and...

In all seriousness now, whatever you will pick will be fine by me, though the only tabletop RPG I've ever played is Lord of the Rings MERP.
