But yeah, you're right, if I hadn't mentioned jello again they might have started with lynching someone else. It would have meant that they hadn't really been paying attention, because at that point he was the only one against whom we had anything to go on, but yeah. I guess I'll have to be more careful in the future. I think what I wrote went a bit further than I meant. And I've also been known to have loose lips of the ship-sinking kind, so please don't take my comments as more severe than intended! No, no, you're right. And I was all "absolutely not!"* in the synod thread so I should stick to it. *I do exclude "Goodbye, cruel world!" posts from that, though. Closure and all. *nods*

Seeing that you were turned I'm even more surprised, because you knew that his protection was a one-time deal. Speaking for myself, I got the impression that it was a permanent protection. May have been misunderstanding/misinterpretation on my part, though. But I'm also (along with the other logic given) partial to leaving 'obvious' targets alone, for various meta-reasons. Of course, now I know you know I do that, I'll probably have meta-meta-arguments in any future situation, just to further hide my 'hand' in the matter.

I would just like to say that with TSM switching to mafia at the end, I hold the record for highest proportion of votes against mafia members.
Clearly I should become an official detective.

Perhaps so, though she wasn't mafia when you killed her.

I'm perfectly capable of smiling like a good little boy while following my own insanity. Do not blame me, blame the dark entity that manipulated all of us. I was not supposed to be rational anymore!

Really, I'm just angry that yet again civilians threw away easy victories by not following my entirely rational lead. Just like how I am angry civilians accomplished a victory because one of them refused to follow my entirely rational lead. Honestly I just believe this whole "mafia" thing would be far easier if everyone did I said with only token resistance. Why can't you all just be diligent little worker drones for me?

Oh, that's simple. We're not ants, wasps, bees, termites or naked molerats. It is the very essence of human evolution that betrayed you, Eldy. Sorry, but you're not our hive queen.

More optional roles seems to keep more people involved and interested... Or at least it appears that way to me... Yeah, I'm sure it does. So was it a coincidence that Hurd, who was already the Vigilante, was turned into the Mad One? Or was that your doing? Coincidence. Randomly selected one of the surviving innocents.

I did wonder if there was someone with a "kill everyone" role. Once he became the Mad One, Hurd's win condition was to be the last surviving "innocent"...

Now I'm home again, I thought you might like to see the (fake) roleclaim screenshot I created for myself. As a remote contingency (nobody asked me for one directly, and I was also prepping myself to be self-sacrificing in the name of the Brotherhood), and I never had to compromise (albeit with deceit) with my views on modquoting. Yes, there's two minor but potentially obvious mistakes that I know of (that I'd have corrected before posting), and I had to use a little guesswork based upon the 'leaked' screenshots, but I was still quite happy with it. (And there's the hint of either being a latent townie-role or perhaps even a Jester, either way maybe a reason not to lynch me.)

Well the first issue is it uses military time when the screenshot I have uses 12-hour, second is that the Day/Month/Year doesn't match up as most use Month/Day , Year.
Also you'd have to have premium version or there'd be an ad between the banner and message, which also would push your response off the page if scrolled fully up.
Also I'm pretty sure Firefox doesn't look like that.

Also you'd have to have premium version or there'd be an ad between the banner and message, which also would push your response off the page if scrolled fully up. Also I'm pretty sure Firefox doesn't look like that. Interesting arguments. Here's a completely unaltered screenshot (barring the same couple of tab-censorings, just to obscure non-NS/TBC things, not for anything actually embarrassing, just common or garden privacy). Spot the differences. Maybe it's how I configured my profile, but that's how I get my time and date. (And, really, who thinks that M/D/Y is in any way logical? Well, I know who, and I rest my case. ) I can't explain the lack of the ad, right now. My Firefox setup definitely looks like that, it might be a version or two behind the front end. (OTOH, the computer at the place I was staying at, the last couple of days, had a Firefox that looked like the top-bar layout was inspired by Chrome, having just been updated. It also didn't expand Spoiler-tags and didn't fulfil the #anchor setting and scroll to the pointed-to message. Might be the forum software. Also, I still don't recall there being any ads.)

I actually think this supports the use of screenshots quite well. I don't like the idea of forwarded OR group messages though. only the wolves should be able to have group discussions IMO.
