There is absolutely nothing cursed about being me in a game of mafia.

I guess I'll join, cause I've been asked. Unless it takes a lot of time. It can take very little time, or as much time as you want, if you're the type who obsessively looks over voting records and posting histories.

Which obviously means that you're trying very hard to hide something! /lynch Jello. (Seriously, and as a general comment to anyone else tempted to join, the cycles of the game mean a lot of anticipation of what the next nightfall/daybreak will bring. You don't have to be here every minute of the day to leap upon the very latest off-hand comment by someone and derive the Ultimate Truth behind it. Even the most vital role, if you have any, won't usually mean anything more than making sure you get in before a rather generous deadline. I've managed to go incommunicado for a weekend, and I don't think anybody noticed that I didn't explicitly tell.)

Sending out role messages. Because I figure 8/5 for mafia to civilians is unoptimal, I had to fudge numbers a bit so there's another role so that no one is stuck as a civilian (did you know numbers are difficult?).
When argumentation gets you down, and your verbal opponent too fierce, there's always a way out. Stop debating them, and attack The Strawman!
The Strawman is cursed to die in the case of a tied vote. However, as revenge, the Strawman can curse one player to take this role. The new Strawman retains their original powers, however the first Strawman is a civilian. If the Lead Man is targeted, a random player will be selected for the Strawman. The curse is done privately.

Must we all assume that the innocent person considers themselves to be a man within the gender binary? (I'm totally trolling you.)

I know you're trolling, bu I will note that the specific fallacy is called The Strawman and the implications therein are therefore not my fault.
