ALRIGHT, STRAP IN, HOSTING AGAIN. Same deal as last October: for every two players that sign up, an additional role will included beyond the standard mafia/doctor/cop. However, last time this left two players awkwardly not anything, so should we hit fifteen players, it will switch to one role per additional player (unless we get to twenty+ and I have to start fudging the mafia numbers, in which case they might be a unique role that's mafia-specific). Each role will be included here with an explanation of the role and how it will work. The game will start whenever September Mafia actually finishes. PLAYERS: 1. @blassy 2. Дьяково3. The Beautiful Darkness4. whereyouthinkyoupoliying5. Gamerdog6. Oviraptor7. jello8. Breadknife9. Serrland10. chandelier11. desperatemarlas12. Indigo13. HladhugLEGION!

First new role!
As we all know, costume parties are all the rage. That's why everyone in this game will have a unique costume. Some are practical, like a Sexy Nurse outfit, other's a bit strange like dressing as Al Capone. Then there's this costume.
The Erotic Pizza costume is a bit confusing and makes it difficult to concentrate. They may target any individual (through PM) and that person may not vote in the next day round. Participation in the debate is fine, so long as no vote is formally cast (yes, this means it's acceptable to say "I think LEGION is suspicious, HINT FUCKING HINT" but not "VOTE LEGION"). The Erotic Pizza is technically a civilian, but also creepy so feel free to kill them anyways.

Some men are born great, others have greatness thrust upon them. However, this one has neither. Showing up expecting a nice Halloween party, most of you are horrified to discover The Neckbeard. Armed with a massive pile of Magic cards, a distaste for social interaction, and an inordinate rage over things going wrong, The Neckbeard can at any point in the game declare something bullshit and I would say flip a table but let's be honest, are most of them capable?
Once per game, The Neckbeard may invalidate the actions of the previous round. This may not be used for the first night scene, but all other scenes are acceptable. They also must be alive to use this power and must use immediately after each round. If a round is negated, it is immediately replayed as if for the first time and all other one-shot powers used in this round can be used again.

What's that in the sky? It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... ONE OF MY FAERIES!
The Escaped Faerie has all the powers of Cupid. If you are curious, just go read the explanation of Cupid I gave last October. I'm lazy right now, sue me!

Morning. (Or whatever time it happens to be for your particular quadrant of the universe. As usual, I've got a confusing schedule, which doesn't help.)
Just putting myself /in for this game to come...

My first role on stage was as the Pied Piper. I was ten at the time. Ah, memories.
The Pied Piper has been studying and now knows how to draw away adults! Each night, they may select one person. This person is now part of the Pied Piper's Retinue. This will function as the Puppetmaster did except hopefully won't be killed immediately.

As a note on numbers, there are (at least) five roles beyond what is mentioned: mafia will be somewhere between three and five members, the doctor, and the detective (the latter two will have different names but the same function). This also means at nine, there will be three mafia/five civs/the Pied Piper. The basic idea is that at fourteen, there will be five mafia, the detective, the doctor, and seven invented roles and twelve will have four mafia, doctor, detective, six invented. However, this isn't quite accurate at thirteen as one invented role would also be mafia-specific, so at thirteen and beyond the formula changes to a new role for each player.
This also means at eighteen, the mafia get another mafia-specific role and will have six total members.

Everyone loves superheroes, right? Well, good for you because you get a superhero! LEAD MAN! Wait, what?
The Lead Man blocks most powers. If targeted, the power fails and that night's action is wasted. This does not apply to the doctor nor the mafia, and should the detective investigate they will be told a random identity (which could incidentally be The Lead Man). The Escaped Faerie's power will not be wasted but a random new target will be picked to replace The Lead Man (the Lead Man is not a possibility for this random reroll, but the Escaped Faerie is a valid choice). For the Pied Piper to win, they must kill The Lead Man.
Future roles will have their interactions (if any) explained later.

So I'd like fourteen players for optimisation purposes. I'll keep this open through the weekend, it's been rather crazy around here.

As any proud fan of The-Football-Team-That-Has-A-Stupid-Name can tell you, randomly misappropriating bigoted stereotypes of other cultures is perfectly acceptable. With this in mind, I present the Indian Chief. The Indian Chief is not at all an offensive caricature, and is totally acceptable Halloween attire, there is no sarcasm anywhere in this paragraph.
Upon death, the Indian Chief may place a totally authentic and not at all silly/racist curse. The target, provided they are not The Lead Man, will die as well.

Just to note that I'm having difficulty not reading The Lead Man as being The Top-Of-The-Bill Actor rather than (as intended) someone who might be better acquainted with the art of plumbing...
But that's incidental. Carry on.

That means I can introduce what will probably be the last role!
Behind every great man, there is a great woman. Behind every great mafia, there is only one person. The Pope Elderberry.
The Elderberry, besides getting the honour of having my former name, will act alone every other night. To win, only Elderberry (and their lover, should they have one) may be alive. This might be difficult, but name one time when Elderberry has failed and died early besides all of the times my name has been Elderberry?
