Is the day over, or is voting still open?

Sorry for the delay - unexpectedly busy weekend. The day is done and the writeup is pending.

Sorry for the delay - unexpectedly busy weekend. The day is done and the writeup is pending. bow-chika-wow-wow? Ha, no. Ended up pet-sitting for a friend who had to go to the hospital. Two energetic rottweilers and a very, very, very loud cockatiel.

Night has fallen and the town is up in arms. A number of townsfolk march to Breadknife's house with bloodthirsty gleams in their eyes.
Someone shouts out to the Judge, asking whether Breadknife should be spared. There is no answer. Up go the ropes, up goes Breadknife, and that is that.
Breadknife, a Mafia Grunt, is dead after a 2-1 vote to lynch him.
It is now night.

As dawn breaks on the town it becomes clear that there is someone missing. Where is Yukimura Sanada? You call up the local hospital and confirm that he was indeed killed last night.
Yukimura Sanada, the Judge, is dead.
It is now day.

(Well, at least I now know I was pretty much unlikely to be saved from the Lynching. Welcome to the spirit world, m'lud!)

I feel like Angry Russian has been uncharacteristically quiet this game. Breadknife also named him earlier, which makes me think maybe it was a misguided attempt to deflect suspicion. I'm going to vote Angry Russian for these reasons.

I'm going to vote Angry Russian for these reasons. I have been quiet, and I agree that bk's naming of me was an attempt to deflect suspicion... Where we disagree is I saw it as an attempt to deflect suspicion from himself, not from me. Coincidentally, I view your vote for me after your defense of bk as the same thing. So, as an act of defense and because I suspect you of being mafia based on your defending one the previous day - vote jello…

Who's Left: A Summary, By Yalta
Chandelier: "No vote" day 1, no posts since.
Angry Russian: No votes cast, some off-topic posts.
Jello: No votes cast, 1 ambiguous comment about Breadknife.
Yalta: Vote for Breadknife day 2 (lynched rightly as mafia).
My innocence should be clear. As for the rest of you, there's really bugger-all there.
Incriminate yourselves, dammit! Edit: okay so you started while I was playing with silly colours.
Also Herr Serr, what's a draw amount to?

A draw would be a coin flip between the two for who will die.

I'm tempted to vote for Chandelier, banking on her not showing in the next 24 hours (and Jello / Dya not changing their votes), and leaving the whole thing up to chance...
(That is NOT a formal vote, for clarity).

I have a certain idea who may be Mafia. But I guess it doesn't count anymore since I'm dead.

Vote Angry Russian

Post by Yaltabaoth on Nov 27, 2014 8:37:18 GMT
The way I see it, I now have only two options here: (1) vote for Jello and force a draw, or (2) do absolutely anything else, and watch Angry Russian swing.
As I still hold all three in roughly equal suspicion, I'm going to vote Jello.

Is a tie that important to you?

I'm not after a tie just for perversity (despite my previous joke).
I don't believe a case has been made against Angry Russian, right now I think Angry Russian is the least likely mafia. I have no reason to believe either yourself or Chandelier are innocent either.
And I notice you've made no attempt to explain why I should change my vote.

Well, I didn't offer one because it seemed like when Breadknife tried to explain why he shouldn't be voted for, it just made Yukimora Sanada more suspicious of him. I figured if you were just going for a tie anyway then I'd risk making you more suspicious of me by trying to make myself look innocent. With that said, I think Angry Russian is guilty not just for the aforementioned reasons I stated, but because I think the mafia strategy was to wait until the town voted and then vote in such a way that they avoided looking like a bloc of votes. I think that's why the mafia didn't try to save Breadknife last turn, in order to avoid looking like a group of voters. If this strategy is true, then it leads me to believe that Angry Russian and chandelier are both mafia.

After a day of discussions, the vote between the people of Cavern was tied at 2 between Dyakovo and Jello. As the bewildered townsfolk stood around scratching their heads about how to proceed, a spooky ghostly voice called out.
"Heads Dyakovo dies, tails Jello dies."
A coin fell at the base of the hangman's pedestal - tails up. Jello was dragged kicking and screaming to the scaffold. When the dust had settled and all was said and done, it was discovered that Jello, Don Caverna, has been lynched.
It is now night.
