November is a cruel month. The leaves have fallen, the wind blows hard, the sky is gray and leaks snow.
The town of Cavern has been plagued by organized crime led by the Caverna Family for decades but things had calmed down of late. Yet there is trouble brewing - there's a new Don with a new cadre of Mafia members in town. The FBI is on the case, sending an investigator and urging the people of Cavern to organize themselves to thwart the resurgence of the Caverna Family.
But the Cavernas have a different idea in mind - this town will be theirs again, as it once was.
It is day now, and the sun is peaking out through the clouds. Who will have the better day on this, The First Day of the Cavern Town Conflict?

Wait, wat? That was never 48 hours. How long are days/nights in this game?
Edit: my bad, I missed the "end of day 1" note in the sign-up thread. Still, are we on 24 hour rounds for this game?

It will be 48 from now on (except for night, which finishes at either 48 hours or whenever all night actors have either made their actions or indicated that they will not take one.

After an uneventful day, one in which there were no calls for blood or wrath, night fell on Cavern.
While the Day was quiet, the Night was anything but.
A piercing wail could be heard from a tall brownstone at the edge of town. Wytyg was outside, screaming frantically for help. "My wife is dead!"
Sure enough, a quick look inside the house revealed that Blassy has died. Next to her corpse was a little box, tied with a ribbon. Inside was a pair of cannoli.
Wytyg, over come with grief at the death of her lover, vowed to leave Cavern for a mourning period in a country cottage.
This great wrong struck Cavern doubly hard when it became clear that Blassy was the FBI Investigator and wytyg, her lover, was the Local Cop.
It is now day.

Gargh!
Unless the Local Cop was Mafia-aligned, as hinted. We can only hope.

Since there was some confusion expressed via PM and the post is unclear, Wytyg going to a cottage to mourn is akin to a dog going to a nice farm in the country. She is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

Aww, man, blassy was the FBI agent?! We were a match made in heaven and never even knew! Wytyg going to a cottage to mourn is akin to a dog going to a nice farm in the country. Harsh.

So, just realised, you Lovers never knew who each other was? That's usually the advantage to the Lovers, to counteract the (obvious) vulnerability of the tag, where even Cupid doesn't get to know who he(/she) ended up match-making... Or maybe you just hadn't felt it necessary to do anything other than hold hands, yet. And words weren't important. Yet. Sweet. But tragic. (Also, I now want to do a game where everyone's a Cupid, but they only know about themselves. And the lovers don't know who they're paired up. And the first lynch (because night-time wouldn't have any kills) would either cause everyone to die in one fell swoop or leave everyone that's left (disconnected as they were, from the fatal menage-a-<N>) as 'winners'. I'm only mentioning this so that I've got no good reason at all to use this set-up, now that you're all aware of it. The next game I run isn't going to be quirky at all. Probably. Although the person who ends up as Cupid is now going to possibly wonder whether they're the only one, I now realise... )

My talking being suspicious?
Me? Talking? Suspicious?
Youdon'tknowmeverywell,doyou?
Well, we need to get it right, and just because I've obviously been useless in a Town role doesn't mean that it's a good idea to kill me. For your flawed logic, Vote Yukimura. Meh. It's the best clue I've got, so far.

Arigato...
(That's half my vocabulary. The other half being "Konnichiwa". No, wait, there's also "Boku wa neku desu, nyu", I think it goes, but that's usually not particularly useful.)

"Arigato" is "thank you". "Konnichiwa" is "good day". "Boku wa neko desu, nyu" is "I'm a cat, nyu". Ah good. I got it all right, more or less. (Did I get gender right, or should I have used "Watashi"? Never mind. I'd already be transgressing the species barrier. Meow/Nyu. And, as an alternative for the French: Le ronron...) ((But I really need to go shopping. I'm just going outside, I may be some time.))

I haven't the slightest idea who is Mafia, but inactivity will just lead to the Townies/Innocents being picked off.
I vote Breadknife, just to make something happen.

Well, the (probably, assuming I'm not just a victim of a "randwagon") two Townies out of the three who haven't yet voted could help save me, but I've got no way of convincing them of my Town role, and even if they did it'd easily just be countered by the last non-voting Mafia. Bringing them into the open, but still pretty much not saving the game for Town if Mafia play smart.
My only hope is to rely on the Judge role to save me from today's otherwise highly-likely death, and then if the Doctor role can successfully defend the obvious target tonight, that's a Town win, because then I'll probably be able to deduce enough to hammer down on the Mafia once and for all.
But based on what I know that you could possibly know, I can't give you any proof you (fellow Townies) need, right now. Upon my lynching, maybe, but then that'd narrow down things for the Mafia as well, giving them a bigger advantage tonight.
