I don't think I guessed anything. What I said in the thread about the resurrected having been turned not even having occurred to me was totally true. In fact, I actually thought Yalta was just throwing out a completey random, made-up theory to distract people and keep them from voting for me. I thought it was genius! It took like another day for me to go "oh, wait, this Vampire thing actually fits the facts -- wait, you mean he actually posted this as a valid theory?! Ohhhhhh..." It was Dya's observation that one death (TBD) wasn't innocent that made me look for a pattern. At first my motivation was to smoke-screen for wytyg, but I needed my argument to make some kind of sense, it couldn't be complete nonsense or that'd make me look either suspicious or just plain daft (or both). Vampires reviving the already-dead felt like a stretch, but the rest of it fit - and as the day went on I slowly convinced myself there was another faction after all. By the end my vote was actually sincere, I really did want to know if I was onto something. You were onto something, you just attributed the revivals to the wrong agency. However, since it was the one you knew aboutand it did fit tthematically, you were ableto convince someone to lynch the verified ddetective...

I figured wytyg was a baddy and likely gamerdog, but I had no clue Yalta was a werewolf. Well run game, dya, this was a lot of fun. And props to the werewolves for handling that last day masterfully.

I just noticed that all the werewolves are right next to each other in the OP's character listing.

All the roles except one where assigned with an RNG. The one that wasn't was assigned because of the combination of the randomness of the way the ability worked and the player being unsure if he'd be able to see the game through to its conclusion.

A belated note 1 to say that I was definitely a bit flumoxed. But the Mod and my direct lover (you slut! you could at least have gotten us together in a threesome!) know some of what I was trying to do. In truth, I was hoping for a Wytyg-is-the-last-wolf scenario, and without the influence of the pack we could consumate our love in a proper (if slightly secretive) marriage that brought the last werewolf into the Villager fold for a Town win. Although I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have happened. Still, I did my best to save my lover (unaware of whether she'd revealed my status in a pack-conference or, it turns out, pillow talk with her original, pre-bigamous partner) without actually "going bad" as well. Had I somehow managed to discover that Gd was a wolf (but not a co-lover, more or less) I would probably have attempted to nudge things towards suspicion being laid upon him. At least until Wytyg became forced to softly whispered into my ear what terrible consequences this would entail. Although I'm not sure this would have entirely stopped me... I'd have probably just gone even more subtle or 'accident prone' in making random hypotherical accusations too forcefully, or just 'forgetting' to retract the hinted accusations enough... ) But that's all hypothetical. I really don't know what I'd have done. But a good job keeping me in the dark while I (premeturely) slipped away... 1 I failed to establish the active connection to the game that I thought I'd be able to, either side of a "definitely not around" period of time... net access to read the open thread, but it seems like I remembered my password wrong by one character, initially, and then went all round the houses to try other (equally wrong) spins on the theme. So I couldn't say much, unless I'd happened (I didn't) to come across an aptly-timed public CAH-game announcement and let you know the circumstances...

you slut! you could at least have gotten us together in a threesome! That bit right there reminded me of GD's (I think? Might have been Yalta) comment about "win by orgy"...

I already did a search on 'orgy'1... but it seems not to want to search the Games forum, because it didn't even show these conversation. Unless it hasn't indexed these words that we see, yet (damn fool way for a forum to do it, unless it's a really high-volume forum, perhaps).
Anyway, I was searching because I was sure that I had, at some not-recent point in time and thus probably within a prior Mafia thread, mentioned something similar to a "polyamorous lover group win". Although not sure whether I would have called it "win by orgy" or not. Possibly, but possibly not.
1 Someone had to...

Ah, indeed. I said (amongst many other things, equally not-necessarily-right)...
...but I think I remember something else more public. Don't mind me, though, my head is throbbing from this cold/man flu/true flu/SARS/ebola that I caught last weekend...
(So, did you know, Serrland? It turns out it wasn't a case of "taking any more pot-shots", as that was night one...)

Nope, you were still right - a couple hours hours before Breadknife unwittingly guessed correctly in his PM, Yalta had already called it an orgy in the werewolf PM thread: So I had to deploy the hammer smiley (only on Yalta, alas, because I couldn't well let Breadknife know he was on to anything). *shakes fists at Serrland some more*

After Dya had informed me about being cupided again, I PMed Serrland to ask if he'd done it as revenge for me voting for him, and he said "Of course! Gotta try to influence the game, even through death." Aaaaand then he came back to life and I stopped to talking to him real quick.
