You know, if I'd known how fucked I was going to get in Africa, I would have just gone for the Golden Horde strategy from the outset. At least I wouldn't have lost a bunch of armies that would have been super useful since I'm unlikely to hold a continent, like, ever.

Also, it's interesting that Europe is conquered in both games. I typically associate that as being a continent that kinda sucks to deal with. Not nearly as much as Asia, but still.
