Hey man I'd like some recognition for being "the worst" diplomacy country and not dying immediately.

Looks like I've pretty much lost already. Yeah, your difficulties in the first year with getting orders to go through kinda screwed you. As did being Germany (at least IMO). And I missed the most recent orders phase because I wasn't home at all today... I'm screwed

In your first move you could have convoyed Berlin to Denmark via your Fleet in Kiel. This set of orders would have looked like this: A Berlin -> Denmark F Kiel Convoy A Berlin -> Denmark In any case, I hope that helps. With having as many Diplomacy newbies, I should have explained movement limitations before we started. It just didn't occur to me though. Since when can fleets convoy while in a coastal province? What madness is this? Hey man I'd like some recognition for being "the worst" diplomacy country and not dying immediately. Is Turkey generally considered to be the worst? I'd think it'd be a more centrally-located country. It's not. England and Turkey are the two best ones because they're relatively unmolested at first. Turkey is probably better because while Austria and Russia can bottle up the Turkish player, they have more extensive borders than England's primary rivals do and England's isolated position also makes it harder to get a foothold in Europe.

Exactly. England and Turkey are best, Germany is worst. After that it's a bit fuzzier.

I'd argue Austria-Hungary is the worst, particularly with Italy right on their doorstep able to take a home supply center on turn one and no other places to expand to.

I guess I lucked out that blassy tried to go around Trieste during her invasion rather than directly to it.

Yeah, I messed up a bit in my planning and was deciding on cutting straight through to Germany, instead of going after the supply center.

That works. Is there any way to add a game to my watched games? I can't seem to see how that works.

We should try and get another game going while the first one finishes up.

I'm interested depending on how long the intervals are before moves need to be submitted.

Or does the timer start whenever everyone hands something in? The first timer starts when everybody joins the game. I'll probably set it to not process deadlines on christmas and new years.

If everyone finalizes their moves the timer will start early. It tends to shift on certain turns, such as retreat, when only one or two people have moves to make.

Good game on that last one. Missing a turn near the end didn't help me, but I had a good empire going for a while. Sorry to all the people I stabbed in the back!
I'm up for another.
