Well you've non-officially committed so I guess you count Okay... why? Not that I'm judgmental or anything but I'd like a bit more clarity beyond "my gut". Like I said there's perfectly legit gameplay and world-building reasons for both so feel free to share. Pretty much just because it's what I'm used to... Okay... but bear in mind by that standard something like an LRM-20 launcher has a max range of 630 meters.... that's meters, with an M. Not to nitpick but something as relatively primitive (today) as an FIM-32 Redeye has a range from 500 meters to 4.5 KM i'd say that's pretty pathetic, even if we're accounting for the decline of civilization post 1st and 2nd Succession wars.

Good point... I never stopped and thought about it that way before... Applying a comparison I'm a bit more familiar with... The 660m range on a Gauss Rifle under classic battletech conversion doesn't stack up well at all to the 8000m maximum effective range of the M256 (for those who don't know, that's the main gun of the M1A1 main battle tank)... This definitely changes my mind...

If Dyakovo changed his mind I have no problem using Battleforce. I'm not qualified to make a decision so whatever you believe works best will be fine by me.

This definitely changes my mind... Well to be fair, the Abrams wasn't a thing when classic battletech was invented so they couldn't have known. And again maybe on a one for one basis I could see the range being dropped off... But bear in mind these are machines that have all sorts of sensors onboard from radar to rangefinders to seismic sensors, have computers onboard to coalesce that data and feed it to the mechwarrior without it becoming overwhelming... yeah I'd say a 660 meter max range on a gauss rifle is kinda insulting If Dyakovo changed his mind I have no problem using Battleforce. I'm not qualified to make a decision so whatever you believe works best will be fine by me. I mean a standard infantry assault rifle can semi-reasonably hit a target out to 300 meters with a little training, so a laser that weighs one ton a walking war machine barely beating that at max range? I should clarify why I'm asking; it's because IC I won't be reffering to targets at hex ranges at all. Targets will be referred to in actual metric ranges. Still deciding if I'll actually put the "hex" ranges in under the IC or if I'll make all of you do a bit of math before posting

Oh fun. Well I bet they don't give you folks anything flashing, probably the leftover succession wars stuff but stomping around on the weekends in uniform and in a mech is fun regardless anyway right?

Hmm! It seems I have misunderstood, but AJ says in the last RP that he went to 80 Kph, so I had Ryo try to match that too?

Alright, we're moving, which is great. Soon enough there might even be shooting and 'sploding as well... although it's tough to say who will be doing that last bit THat being said a bit of housekeeping is in order. anonymousjerk I appreciate the leadership, again, but you're missing something in your IC post. The whole Movement/Attack/Utility describing what you did. If you wouldn't mind posting that up on your latest IC post I would really appreciate that. Anyway, in more universal news I've nearly gotten the entire initiative movement and combat tables ready to go, and I'm working on pilot skill incidentals as well, so hopefully those will be up this weekend as well. Edit: Saw it AJ, nevermind, IC has been adjusted accordingly.
