I floated the idea of restarting our D&D group and some people voice interest. Who's in? We'll need to work out a lot of stuff before we get going but first let's see what numbers are like.
Also, we still haven't got a DM. We'll need one of those.

I have PHB for 3.5, 4, and 5. I'd prefer something more along the lines of 3.5 or 5 personally.

I have a bunch of splats for 3.5, and the core rules are legally available for free under the Open Gaming License. I also have the PHB and DMG for 5. I've got enough 4 in my life right now between playing in two campaigns and running a third. |

All the splats are available on torrent sites, so availability of rulebooks isn't a huge problem. As to edition chat, Pathfinder is, I recall, better in just about every respect compared to 3.5. So my 3.5 vote is for pathfinder rather than 3.5.
I'd also be really interested in trying 5e, though 4e was quite good as well. Shame you can't vote for two options.

Pathfinder is find by me, but I've not actually played using Pathfinder rules. As long as I can still make use of Charm Person, or an equivalent, we cool.

The only time I got to play pathfinder for more than a single session, I played a sorcerer specced out for enchantment spells and social skills. I ended up accidentally breaking the DM and shutting down the campaign. |

Okay. I can do a custom setting. I'll probably put it at the crossroads of the world so you can have eastern or western flavors to your characters if you like, or to any adventures.
Another question: what character level do we want. I can accommodate anything, but I'd prefer starting out at low level.
